A sacred religious text titled Ashta Bhairav was formally released by His Holiness Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Shri Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, the Shankaracharya of Jyotish Peeth, during a religious program organised under the aegis of Jyotirmath.

The book is based on a series of insightful and spiritually enriching discourses delivered by Shankaracharya Ji Maharaj on the various incarnations of Lord Shiva at Saldha in Chhattisgarh. The book has been compiled and edited by Sadhvi Purnamba Ji, a fully initiated disciple of the revered Shankaracharya while Dr. Ranjan Sharma has served as the sub-editor. The publication has been brought out by Jyotirmath Prakashan Sevalaya.

Following the release of the book, Advocate Pandit Ramesh Upadhyay, a devoted disciple of Shankaracharya Ji Maharaj, embarked on an Ashta Bhairav Darshan Yatra (pilgrimage to the eight Bhairav temples), accompanied by a group of eight dedicated devotees. During the spiritual journey, the group offered prayers all eight Bhairav temples and also offered copies of the newly released Ashta Bhairav at every temple as a mark of devotion and reverence.
