Sanath Nagar celebrates Telangana Formation Day

Telangana Formation Day was celebrated with enthusiasm across the Sanath Nagar Assembly constituency on Tuesday under the leadership of Sanath Nagar Constituency In-charge Dr. Kota Neelima. The celebrations were held in Sanath Nagar, BK Guda, SR Nagar and Bansilalpet divisions.

Dr. Neelima unfurled the National Flag, paid floral tributes to Telangana Thalli and extended greetings to the people on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, she said Telangana has successfully completed 12 years and entered its 13th year, marking a significant milestone in the state's journey.

Paying homage to the martyrs of the Telangana movement, she recalled their sacrifices and contributions towards achieving statehood. She also acknowledged the role played by students, farmers, employees, women, intellectuals, artists, journalists and various social groups in the movement.

Dr. Neelima expressed gratitude to former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Congress leader Sonia Gandhi for their role in the formation of Telangana. She said the creation of the state reflected the aspirations and self-respect of its people.

Stating that the Congress government is committed to inclusive growth, she said special focus is being given to the welfare of farmers, women, youth and other sections of society. Later, she inaugurated a newly installed Dr. B.R. Ambedkar statue in BK Guda and congratulated those who contributed to its installation.
