District Collector P. Pravinya on Wednesday said there is no shortage of LPG cooking gas in the district and directed officials to ensure uninterrupted doorstep delivery to every household. She chaired the district-level LPG supply monitoring committee review meeting at the Collectorate mini conference hall along with Additional Collector (Revenue) Madhuri.
Officials from the Civil Supplies Department Police Department transport officials and representatives of LPG agencies attended the meeting.
The Collector warned that any attempt to create artificial shortage of cooking gas in the district would not be tolerated. She instructed agencies to ensure timely supply of LPG cylinders to households without delay and to maintain smooth distribution. She also reviewed LPG supply in welfare hostels and government hospitals and directed officials to ensure continuous availability in all government-run welfare institutions.
She asked vigilance teams to conduct regular inspections to prevent irregularities in distribution and to book cases against illegal stockpiling or black marketing.
District civil supplies officials LPG agency representatives and departmental officers participated. The meeting emphasized coordination between departments for efficient public distribution system across the district. Strict monitoring will continue officials said in future period.
