Microsoft Corporation CEO and Chairman Satya Nadella has reiterated Microsoft's commitment for partnering with the Telangana government in its development initiatives. During a meeting with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy in Hyderabad, Nadella praised the state’s focus on skill development and infrastructure, key drivers for economic growth and global competitiveness.
Satya Nadella appreciated the Chief Minister’s vision of enhancing skills and improving infrastructure to the next level, and opined that only these two can position Hyderabad in the Top 50 cities in the world for creating economic growth.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, along with IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu, Minister for Irrigation and Civil Supplies Uttam Kumar Reddy, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, Special Chief Secretary IT and Industries Jayesh Ranjan and Special Secretary to CM Ajit Reddy called on Satya Nadella at his residence in Hyderabad on Monday.
During the meeting, Revanth highlighted Microsoft’s long-standing association with Hyderabad. Microsoft is one of the earliest technology companies in Hyderabad and has grown to strength of 10,000 employees over the years besides investing in data centre capacity of 600 MW in the state, CM added.
Revanth Reddy also shared details about his plans for Infrastructure development in Telangana, including Regional Ring Road, Radial roads, Future City, development of new manufacturing Clusters, and how the government is proposing to create a vast pool of industry-ready talent through the Young India Skills University.
The Chief Minister thanked Nadella for regular investments and growth of Microsoft business in Telangana. He also discussed about latest technologies that the State is focusing on including AI, Generative AI, Cloud Computing, and sought Microsoft’s support to develop strong ecosystem so that Hyderabad is seen as the leading city in the world of technology domain.
