South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Arun Kumar Jain said that the real strength of SCR is its dedicated workforce and excellent team work. Focus areas of SCR are safety, asset maintenance, quality of work and training to staff. 

He stated that these four aspects are interrelated and ensure the overall success of the organization. South Central Railway celebrated the 69th Railway week on Friday at Rail Kalarang, New Bhoiguda, Secunderabad.

Speaking on the occasion, Arun Kumar Jain said the quality in execution of work is the need of the hour and the desired results can be achieved only by ensuring that. He also advised the staff to always bear in mind the purpose of railways, which is a safe, comfortable and affordable journey to all.

He stated that there should be no compromise in implementing safety standards and following safety precautions. I strongly hope that the growth momentum of the Zone will help the SCR flag always fly high, the General Manager said.

Arun Kumar Jain was the chief guest on the occasion and presented Zonal Efficiency Shields to divisions and departments and individual Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar awards to officers and staff during the program.

Neeraj Agrawal, Additional General Manager, J Vinayan, Senior Deputy General Manager, Udaynath Kotla, Deputy General Manager, Principal Heads of the Departments, Divisional Railway Managers, other senior officers and staff were present on the occasion.

Arun Kumar Jain congratulated the awardees and appreciated their meritorious service rendered during the year 2024. The General Manager shared that the zone bagged two performance efficiency shields in Construction and Civil Engineering disciplines during National Railway Week Celebrations held in December, 2024.

Speaking on the achievements of SCR, he stated that the zone has performed exceptionally well during the last two years, recording best performances in many parameters reinforcing the credentials of the zone and earning nationwide recognition as one of the top performers.

The General Manager’s Over All Best Performance shield was presented to Secunderabad and Vijayawada divisions jointly by Arun Kumar Jain. The shield was received by Bhartesh Kumar Jain, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad division and A Narendra Patil, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada division.

The General Manager also presented other 35 Zonal Level Efficiency shields to various divisions and workshops of the zone.
