Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha announced that preparations are underway for the annual “Chandanotsavam” of Sri Varahalakshmi Narasimha Swamy at Simhachalam, scheduled for April 30.

During her visit to the temple on Sunday, she personally inspected arrangements and emphasized prioritizing the darshan for common devotees. She assured that measures are being taken to prevent inconvenience to devotees, including traffic management in the surrounding areas.

The darshan of 'Antaralaya' will conclude at 6 am, and special arrangements are being made to accommodate the estimated two lakh devotees expected this year. A large fleet of buses is being organized for transportation. Minister Anitha highlighted the collaborative efforts of five ministers who reviewed the arrangements, marking an unprecedented level of preparation.

Earlier, the Home Minister was welcomed with temple honors and vedic blessings upon her arrival at Simhachalam. She paid obeisance to the deity and received prasadam and a commemorative picture from the temple authorities.

Reflecting on the state government’s success in organizing celebrations across various temples, she expressed confidence in the smooth execution of Chandanotsavam. The event is anticipated to be a grand occasion for devotees and the temple community alike.
