Singareni Collieries Company Limited will soon introduce a dedicated WhatsApp number to receive and resolve workers’ complaints, announced Chairman and Managing Director N. Balaram during the first Dial Your CMD programme held on Saturday at Singareni Bhavan. The initiative drew an unexpectedly strong response, with about 40 workers from various areas calling to raise issues related to welfare, workplace concerns and productivity.

CMD Balaram said the WhatsApp system would enable employees and their families to report problems quickly, helping the management address them without delay. He added that a special mechanism will be set up to speed up permission and approval processes at corporate hospitals to avoid delays in medical services. Plans to establish a corporate hospital in Hyderabad and a cath lab in Ramagundam were also announced, with the latter set to begin operations soon.

Several workers shared suggestions to improve production in underground mines, and the CMD immediately directed officials to take action. He assured that the issue of EP-fitter promotions would be discussed, instructed the civil department to enhance amenities in company quarters and confirmed that the medical board would be conducted this month. He also advised workers to counsel colleagues facing frequent absenteeism. The programme, scheduled for an hour, was extended till 6 pm due to heavy participation.
