The Telangana Education Department has taken serious action against teachers who are absent from duty since 2006 in Yadagirigutta Bhuvanagiri district. In this context, 16 government teachers have been removed from their services. Among these teachers, 9 are female teachers, while a total of 16 SGTs (School Junior Teachers) have been removed from service.

The officials found that these teachers have not been attending the duties of educational institutions for a long period. Also, since they did not respond to the notices sent by the Education Department, the DEO (District Education Officer) has decided to remove them from service. In this regard, the officials have sent termination letters to all the teachers.  Locals have been complaining about the absence of teachers for a long time. However, the schools now would need to have tecahers.
