In a major boost to the region’s healthcare infrastructure, SLG Hospitals and Ajeenkya DY Patil Healthcare have signed a strategic management agreement to jointly operate an 800-bed multi-speciality hospital in Nizampet, Hyderabad. The collaboration aims to deliver affordable, high-quality medical care across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The upcoming facility will be developed in phases and will prioritize critical and emergency care, cardiac sciences, and oncology—including advanced radiation oncology. The initiative is expected to ease the burden on existing hospitals and improve access to specialized treatment.
SLG Hospitals Chairman Dandu Siva Rama Raju called the partnership a realization of his long-held vision to make world-class healthcare accessible to all. Dr. Ajeenkya Patil, Chairman of Ajeenkya DY Patil Healthcare, said the alliance would expand both institutions’ reach and redefine standards in patient care.
UK-based Optimus Investments is advising the agreement. Abhay Ahuja, Managing Partner (India & Middle East), described the venture as a benchmark for healthcare partnerships in India, poised to set new paradigms in clinical excellence and affordability. Strategically located in a high-growth corridor, the hospital is expected to reinforce Hyderabad’s position as a leading healthcare hub while promoting medical equity and transparency.
