TPCC Vice President and Sanathnagar Constituency in-charge, Dr. Kota Neelima, stated that the Congress government under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is standing firmly with the farmers. She said that the government's primary goal is to empower farmers and treat them like royalty. As part of this commitment, she explained that a massive amount of funds have been spent on agriculture and farmer welfare within just one and a half years.

Dr. Neelima revealed that since CM Revanth Reddy assumed office, the government has spent Rs 1.04 lakh crore on various schemes. Out of this, Rs 43,000 crore was spent on paddy procurement and bonuses for fine rice varieties. Including the recent allocations during the current monsoon season, a total of Rs 21,000 crore has been provided as investment support under the Rythu Bharosa scheme, which she claimed is a record in the country's history.

She further said that in the first year of taking office, the government waived crop loans amounting to Rs 20,616 crore. No other state in India has spent such a large amount in such a short period, she noted, criticizing the previous government for disbursing crop loan waivers of Rs 1 lakh in multiple small installments, which increased the interest burden on farmers. She stated that during the previous ten years, farmers never lived in peace, but under the Congress government, Rs 2 lakh loans were waived in one go, bringing light into the lives of 25 lakh farmers.

Dr. Kota Neelima highlighted that spending Rs 1.04 lakh crore on farmers within a span of one and a half years has set a rare national record. The breakdown of the spending is as follows: Rs 20,616 crore for crop loan waivers, Rs 21,357 crore for Rythu Bharosa, Rs 16,691 crore for free electricity to agriculture, Rs 43,835 crore for paddy procurement and bonus for fine rice, Rs 2,181 crore for farmer insurance, Rs 260 crore as compensation for crop loss.
