Andhra Pradesh Minister for Transport, Youth Affairs, and Sports, Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy, met Assembly Speaker Ayyannapatrudu to discuss the organization of sports and cultural events for legislators. The meeting, held at the Speaker’s chamber, was also attended by SAP Chairman Ravi Naidu and Managing Director Girisha.

Speaker Ayyannapatrudu announced the revival of a long-standing tradition by organizing special sports and cultural competitions for legislators from March 18 to 20 during the Budget Session. He emphasized that these events would help reduce political stress and foster camaraderie among MLAs.

Competitions for male legislators will include cricket, volleyball, and badminton, while female legislators will participate in badminton, throwball, tennis, tug-of-war, and a 100-meter sprint. Cultural programs such as singing, drama, skits, dance performances, and solo acts will also be featured.

The Speaker urged all MLAs to actively participate and make the event a grand success. The competitions will conclude with an awards ceremony on the night of March 20, where Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will present prizes to the winners.
