The 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025 was marked by a vibrant display of cultural heritage and wellness across Telangana, as historic sites, institutions, and citizens came together in celebration of India’s ancient gift to the world -yoga. In a unique blend of spirituality and heritage, yoga sessions were held at three of Telangana’s iconic Centrally Protected Monuments: the majestic Golconda Fort in Hyderabad, the sacred Thousand Pillar Temple in Hanamkonda, and the historic Warangal Fort (Swayambhu Temple Complex).
The celebrations extended to the revered Alampur Temples in Jogulamba Gadwal district and the UNESCO World Heritage Site-Ramappa Temple in Mulugu district, all under the care of the Archaeological Survey of India, Hyderabad Circle. A Mega IDY event at the Statue of Equality, Shamshabad, hosted by the Ministry of Tourism’s Hyderabad Field Office. Hundreds gathered at this grand venue, uniting in synchronized movements and mindful breathing beneath the towering presence of Ramanujacharya’s statue.
