Sultan Bazar Police arrested notorious rowdy sheeter Vaishnav Kishan Das alias Vaishnav Ganesh Maharaj, who had been absconding for 14 years in a murder case. Police said the accused, a native of Uttar Pradesh, has a rowdy sheet pending since 1999 and is involved in 21 criminal cases across Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Rachakonda and other districts, including murder, attempt to murder, theft and Arms Act offences.
He is A2 in Crime No. 248/2010 of Sultan Bazar Police Station registered under Sections 302 and 201 IPC. After securing bail in 2012, he allegedly went absconding.
During investigation, police found that he had changed his legal name from Vaishnav Kishan Das to Vaishnav Ganesh Maharaj in Aadhaar and other identity documents to hide his criminal identity and evade surveillance. Acting on credible information, police traced and arrested him from Malakpet.
