Suspicious movement lands Hyderabad man in jail

A local court on Thursday sentenced a 27-year-old man to 15 days of simple imprisonment after convicting him in an e-petty case registered by the Chaderghat police for moving in a suspicious manner with the alleged intention of committing an offence.

According to the police, the accused, identified as Firoz Khan, a private employee and resident of Moosa Nagar in Chaderghat, was apprehended during patrolling within the Chaderghat police station limits. Based on his suspicious movements, police registered a case under Section 61(b) of the Hyderabad City Police Act and produced him before the court. The 6th Special Judicial Magistrate, Hyderabad, M. Bhaskar, delivered the judgment on Thursday in STC No. 3298/2026, convicting the accused and awarding 15 days of simple imprisonment.

The case was investigated by Sub-Inspector B. Yella Krishna with assistance from Court Duty Officer Constable G. Sainath. Police said they will continue taking strict legal action against suspicious persons to maintain public safety and prevent crime.
