Tata Projects Limited, a leading engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company of the Tata Group, has been selected by SAF One Energy Management Limited as its EPC partner for a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) project in the Middle East. The project will produce SAF from used cooking oil and other waste oils and fats, supporting aviation decarbonization and reducing reliance on conventional jet fuel. It is also part of SAF One’s plan to build a global portfolio of SAF facilities, including in India.

Under the partnership, Tata Projects will provide a fully integrated EPC solution, leveraging standardized designs, modular execution strategies, and advanced construction methodologies. The project will incorporate globally proven technologies for feedstock pre-treatment and hydroprocessing, ensuring compatibility with multiple waste-based feedstocks and compliance with international ASTM D7566 SAF standards.

Rajiv Menon, President & COO – Energy & Industrial Business at Tata Projects, said, “Sustainable Aviation Fuel is a key lever for aviation decarbonization. Our collaboration with SAF One focuses on creating repeatable, efficient, and execution-ready SAF infrastructure. Standardized design and modular construction will enable faster deployment globally.”

Deepak Munganahalli, Co-founder and CEO of SAF One, added, “Partnering with Tata Projects brings experience in delivering complex energy infrastructure under a fixed-price, turnkey EPC model. Their focus on safety, constructability, and standardization fits our ‘design once, build many’ approach as we scale SAF projects across regions.”

This collaboration strengthens Tata Projects’ position in energy transition initiatives, combining sustainability with reliable execution. Discussions are also underway for a similar SAF project in India, reflecting a shared commitment to future-ready aviation fuel infrastructure in high-growth markets.
