Telangana is witnessing a surge in multinational company investments, bringing both industrial growth and significant support to horticulture. The Cabinet sub-committee approves Rs.3,745 crore projects that creats jobs for over 1500 youth and supports mango and orange farmers.
At the Industrial Promotion Cabinet Sub-Committee meeting held at the state Secretariat here on Tuesday, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu announced approvals for three major companies to set up operations in the state, generating Rs.3,745 crore in investments and employment for 1,518 youth.
The approved projects include JSW UAV Limited’s new unit at Maheshwaram, Toshiba Transmission and Distribution System’s Gas Insulated Switchgear and Bushings plant, and Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Company. The Coca-Cola plant alone, with an investment of Rs.2,398 crore, is expected to create 600 jobs. JSW UAV’s unit will generate 364 jobs with Rs.785 crore investment, while Toshiba’s project will employ 554 people with Rs.562 crore investment.
Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka highlighted that beverage industries like Coca-Cola would significantly benefit mango and orange farmers by creating demand for local horticultural produce, boosting farmers’ income.
The committee also reviewed MOUs and investment proposals from companies in Davos and other international markets. Senior officials, including Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao, Special CS Sanjay Kumar, Principal Secretaries of Commercial Taxes, Finance, and Energy, Industries Director Nikhil Chakravarthy, and other top officials attended the meeting.
