Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu announced that the Telangana Audit Department has secured the number one rank in the country for its excellence in online auditing systems, achieving this distinction for three consecutive times.
On Tuesday, the Deputy CM held a review meeting with senior officials from the Gujarat Audit Department at the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Secretariat. The visiting delegation is currently on a study tour to understand Telangana’s advanced online auditing framework and its implementation at the grassroots level.
Welcoming the officials, Bhatti highlighted that Telangana has developed strong, transparent, and efficient governance systems across departments, with the Audit Department emerging as a model for the rest of the country. He assured full cooperation and support to the visiting team, stating that all necessary assistance would be extended to help them gain a comprehensive understanding of the systems and processes in place.
The Gujarat officials informed the Deputy CM that they had been visiting several Gram Panchayats across Telangana over the past two days. They expressed appreciation for the state’s digital auditing mechanisms, noting that the system ensures transparency, accountability, and real time monitoring of financial activities at the local level. Senior officials, including Finance Department Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania and Telangana Audit Department Director Narasimhan, were present at the meeting.
