In line with government directives, C V Anand, Director General and Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, has mandated the removal and replacement of all outdated police stickers on patrol and police station vehicles. Additionally, necessary repairs and maintenance work will be carried out to ensure the vehicles remain in optimal condition.
Following these instructions, the CAR Headquarters team has arranged for the overhaul of 188 government vehicles, with an investment of approximately Rs 1.6 crore. The extensive work includes the removal of old stickers, machine polishing, denting and painting of bumpers, doors, and panels, engine repairs, and updates to internal hardware.
As part of this initiative, the repair and re-stickering of 134 patrol vehicles were completed on Sunday under the supervision of C V Anand. These vehicles have now been re-commissioned and are expected to play a crucial role in maintaining law and order, preventing crime, providing quick emergency responses, and improving the overall efficiency of the police force.
In the coming days, other Hyderabad City Police vehicles such as Traffic ACP, Inspector, Pilot, and Interceptor vehicles will undergo similar updates to ensure they are fully operational. To maintain the longevity of these vehicles, drivers were also given clear instructions to keep the vehicles clean and in proper working condition. CAR Headquarters officials were present to oversee and support the process.
