The Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana, Bhatti Vikramarka informed that on June 2, five lakh youths would be handed sanction letters under the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme. He further added that Rs 9,000 crore has been allotted to encourage self-employment. He was speaking at a mega job fair organised by the Singareni Collieries Company in Wyra constituency.

The minister said that the government is ensuring employment and livelihood opportunities for unemployed youth in three phases. The initial step focuses on offering employment opportunities for young individuals in the government sector via the Telangana Public Service Commission. The state government has already appointed approximately 56,000 individuals to government positions in the first year and is actively working to fill an additional 30,000 roles, he stated.

In the second phase, jobs will be facilitated in the private sector by attracting multinational companies through infrastructure development.  Third source is to provide employment opportunities with the self-employment.
