The Telangana Government Doctors Association (TGGDA) State Team met the Chief Minister of Telangana Revanth Reddy, along with Manakondur MLA Dr. Kavvampally Sathyanarayana, to present critical demands concerning doctors and medical faculty across the state.
During the high-level meeting on Monday, the TGGDA highlighted long-pending issues from three departments, urging immediate attention. Key demands included the conversion of the Telangana Vaidya Vibhagam (TVVP) into the Directorate of Secondary Health Services (DSHS), amendment of G.O. Ms. No. 142 for the Directorate of Public Health (DH), and provision of special allowances for faculty serving in rural and tribal medical colleges.
The association also sought time-bound promotions for doctors under the Directorate of Public Health, sanction of earned leave (EL) encashment for medical college faculty, and transfer of professors to existing vacant positions.
The Chief Minister responded positively, assuring the TGGDA team of due consideration of all the demands.
The TGGDA delegation at the meeting included Dr. B. Narahari (President), Dr. Lalu Prasad Rathod (Secretary General), Dr. M.K. Rauf (Treasurer), Dr. Deen Dayal (Vice President), and Dr. Sandhya (General Secretary – OSM-2).
This meeting marks a significant step toward addressing long-standing concerns of Telangana’s medical fraternity.
