Going beyond their role in ensuring uninterrupted power supply, employees of TGNPDCL are making a meaningful contribution to society through the TGNPDCL Charitable Trust, extending financial support to orphaned children, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, single women and poor students.
The Trust, funded through voluntary monthly salary contributions from employees, provides Rs.20,000 every month to 27 service organizations functioning across 18 TGNPDCL circles, mobilising nearly Rs.5.4 lakh each month for social welfare initiatives.
Employees contribute a minimum of Rs.50 per month, with many donating higher amounts. The funds are used transparently to support organisations running orphanages, old-age homes, disability care centres, educational programmes for underprivileged children, women's welfare initiatives and rehabilitation services.
The beneficiary institutions are spread across Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Bhupalpally, Mahabubabad, Mulugu, Warangal, Jagtial, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Kamareddy, Nizamabad, Adilabad, Komuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial and Nirmal under the TGNPDCL jurisdiction. The assistance being mobilised through employee contributions is bringing smiles to the faces of orphaned children and offering hope to elderly persons in old-age homes, poor children, persons with disabilities and many others in need. The initiative reflects TGNPDCL employees' commitment to social responsibility.
