Rashmika Mandanna and actor Dheekshith Shetty come together in the highly anticipated film The Girlfriend. Presented by veteran producer Allu Aravind and jointly produced by Geetha Arts and Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainment, the film is directed by Rahul Ravindran and produced by Dheeraj Mogilineni and Vidya Koppineedi.

Shaping up as an emotionally intense romantic drama, it is set for a grand worldwide theatrical release on November 7 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. In a recent interview, Rahul Ravindran shared that the story was inspired by an incident from his college days and a song he cherished at the time. ‘When Allu Aravind Garu read the story, he insisted it be made for theatres. Rashmika instantly connected with the script and wanted to do it immediately,’ he revealed.

Rahul emphasized the film’s realism: ‘The story shows a couple’s life without preaching moral lessons. It’s emotionally intense and relatable.’ Dheekshith was cast to embody the charming, relatable college hero, while Rahul himself stepped into a supporting role after other options declined.  The film’s high-voltage drama, teased in the trailer, promises to captivate audiences from start to finish.
