Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee ( TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud expressed that Hindi has been a strong foundation for national integration, acting as a connector for millions of Indians spanning the North-South and East-West regions. The Hindi Diwas event took place on Sunday at the Basheerbagh Press Club, organised by the Telangana Pradesh Linguistic Minority Cell and the Telangana Hindi Journalists’ Association, with Mahesh Kumar Goud as the chief guest.

During his address, the TPCC chief emphasised that India is a rich tapestry of languages, cultures, and traditions. He noted that despite the increasing prominence of English in our globalising world, Hindi has maintained its significance, bridging various languages and dialects. Referencing the saying “Desha Bhashalandu Telugu Lessa,” he highlighted that alongside Telugu, the promotion and study of Hindi would enhance national unity.

The TPCC chief added that Telangana is recognized for its commitment to secularism and serves as a model for development and social welfare. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is giving special focus on education and healthcare, he said. Government Advisor Harkar Venugopal Rao, AICC secretary Viswanathan, Planning Commission chairman Dr. Chinna Reddy, former MP Hanumantha Rao, corporation chairmen Anvesh Reddy, Taher and Rajesh Kumar Agarwal, CPI leader Chada Venkat Reddy and others were present.
