Two arrested for reckless bike stunts

The Saifabad Police have arrested two young men for performing hazardous motorcycle stunts near Lumbini Park and the Telangana Secretariat, creating a public safety risk and alarming commuters. The arrests come after repeated reports of reckless behavior intended to gain social media attention.

The accused have been identified as Mohammed Akeel (19), a courier boy from Bolakpur, Musheerabad, and Mohammed Ateeq (22), employed in the private sector and residing in Aghapura, Nampally. Both were reportedly engaging in dangerous stunts on busy public roads within high-security areas, causing distress to residents and visitors.

Acting on credible information and under continuous surveillance, the Saifabad Police conducted a targeted operation that led to the apprehension of the two individuals. The motorcycles used for stunts, along with mobile phones used for recording videos, were seized as evidence. The accused have been placed under judicial remand.

The operation was carried out under the guidance of SHO A. Seethaiah, with Investigating Officer V. Parameshwari and team members L. Sampath Kumar, B. Vijay Kumar, J. Lingaswamy, and S. Mahesh actively involved in the raid.

SHO Seethaiah issued a stern warning to the public, emphasizing that any activity endangering citizen safety on public roads will be met with strict legal action. He urged young people to refrain from engaging in reckless stunts that jeopardize their own lives and the safety of others.

The police department reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining law and order, especially in sensitive areas, and called on citizens to cooperate in reporting dangerous activities.
