The Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (HNEW) along with the Langer Houz police on Thursday caught a local drug peddler and a consumer and seized 15 grams of cocaine and two mobile phones, all worth Rs 3.95 lakh from them.

The police teams caught Mohit Sanjay Mehra (33), resident of Narsingi, who was procuring the cocaine from some persons in Mumbai and selling it in the city to local customers.

‘Since five months Mohit was into the business and earned huge profits,’ said police. A customer Nagaram Jason Raj alias Jason who was regularly buying cocaine from Mohit was also arrested. A case is registered under NDPS Act against Mohit and Nagaram. Investigation is on to identify the persons from whom Mohit was procuring the drugs.
