Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu said the State government is giving an utmost priority for the completion of all pending irrigation projects to ensure sustained agricultural development in Telangana.

Speaking at the District Review Meeting of combined Karimnagar district here on Thursday, the Minister said that although  the Dam Safety Authority, under the purview of the Central Government, has restricted the lifting of water from the Kaleshwaram project, Telangana continues to lead the nation in paddy production.  "To date, 94 percent of the paddy has been procured. Officials have been asked to complete the procurement of the remaining stock promptly," he said.

Sridhar Babu assured that farmers affected by unseasonal rains will receive full support from the government and also urged them not to lose hope as the State government is fully committed to extend all the help. "The previous BRS government left the revenue system in a state of disorder. With the implementation of Bhu Bharati, the current Congress government is ensuring justice to rightful landowners. Land wrongfully occupied through intimidation will be reclaimed and restored to its legitimate holders," he said.

The Minister further stated that all eligible and deserving poor families will be allotted homes under the Indiramma Housing Scheme and there is no need for concern as every deserving beneficiary will be covered. "I have instructed officials to formulate a clear and actionable roadmap addressing all issues discussed in today’s review meeting, with a focus on timely implementation and measurable outcomes," Sridhar Babu added.
