On the occasion of National Space Day, a grand celebration was held at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Mamunoor, in Warangal district, with Warangal MP Dr. Kadiyam Kavya as the chief guest. Students warmly welcomed her and participated with great enthusiasm.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Kavya highlighted India’s inspiring space journey, recalling Rakesh Sharma’s historic flight under Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and the milestones achieved by ISRO, including successful satellite launches from Sriharikota. She praised the recent achievement of astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla and the global contributions of Sunita Williams, an astronaut of Indian origin.

Dr. Kavya emphasized India’s ambitious missions like Chandrayaan as symbols of scientific progress and urged students to draw inspiration from these efforts. "Space opens new avenues for humanity’s future," she said, encouraging students to nurture curiosity, ask questions, and pursue studies with dedication to become future scientists, researchers, and astronauts.

She also visited the student science exhibition, appreciating their innovative projects and stressing the importance of cultivating scientific thinking. Dr. Kavya concluded by motivating students to actively engage in science and technology for national development. The event served as a powerful reminder of India’s growing presence in space and inspired students to contribute to the country’s scientific legacy.
