It is a known fact that Jagtial MLA Sanjay and Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy had a heated argument at a meeting held at the Karimnagar Collectorate on Sunday to discuss the preparedness for the development works of the combined Karimnagar district.
Three cases have been registered against Kaushik Reddy at Karimnagar one town police station. On Monday morning, MLA Sanjay met assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar and lodged a complaint against Kaushik Reddy. Responding to the complaint, the Speaker said a report would be obtained and action would be taken against the MLA.
Reacting to the latest developments, former minister and BRS party MLA Gangula Kamalakar made some crucial remarks. “I have been an MLA for four terms. It is usual to blame each other when political issues come up in the review meetings. But the police had never dragged the MLA away in such situations. The marshals take out any MLA after obtaining permission of the Speaker in the Assembly.
Whether the police had entered the meeting hall with the permission of the three State ministers and dragged away MLA Kaushik Reddy in the incident,” Gangula questioned while making it clear that the ministers failed to run the meeting smoothly if the MLA was dragged away with their orders.
He claimed that Kaushik Reddy said MLA Sanjay, who was sitting next to him, was irritating him. Gangula expressed anger over how many people would be booked? He claimed that the district in charge minister Uttam Kumar Reddy failed to run the meeting smoothly.
“Did he know beforehand that there would be a fight? Why were there so many policemen at the meeting hall,” he asked Gangula demanded that the cases filed against Kaushik Reddy should be dropped if the district ministers were not involved in the issue.
Stating that there is a rivalry between the two MLAs, Gangula advised the ruling party leaders not to attribute the altercation between the two leaders to the BRS party leadership.
