With heavy rain looming, Revanth orders speeding up of paddy procurement

In view of the Orange Alert issued by the Meteorological department for several districts, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy alerted officials to remain vigilant over the rain situation. In a statement on Wednesday, the Chief Minister directed officials to make additional arrangements at paddy procurement centres and speed up paddy procurement operations.

He emphasised that adequate tarpaulins should be kept ready to prevent the paddy stored in procurement yards from getting wet. The officials were also ordered to shift tarpaulins from centres where procurement has already been completed. Following the IMD warning of strong gusty winds, Revanth Reddy appealed to people to remain cautious and alert.
