Live workshop on robotic gynic surgeries was held
Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City, marked a milestone in healthcare by hosting ‘GYN ROBOCON 2025,’ a one-day national conference and live workshop on robotic gynecological surgeries.
Organized by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, under the leadership of Dr. Anitha Kunnaiah, the event brought together top national and international experts to advance knowledge, skill-sharing, and innovation in robotic-assisted surgery.
Robotic technology in gynecology has transformed complex surgeries such as myomectomy, endometriosis, adenomyosis, and fertility-enhancing procedures. Using the Da Vinci Surgical System, known for its 3D HD vision, tremor control, and precision, surgeons now achieve faster recovery, minimal blood loss, and improved outcomes.
Keynote speakers included Dr. Peter C Lim, Medical Director, Robotic Surgery Center of Hope (USA), and Dr. Mahendra Bhandari, CEO, Vattikuti Foundation and a pioneer in robotic surgery in India. The program featured live surgical demonstrations, interactive panels, and skill-building sessions for both senior consultants and trainees.
Held in collaboration with the Obstetric and Gynaecological Society of Hyderabad (OGSH), the conference saw leadership from Dr. S Shantha Kumari and Dr. Jayanthi Reddy, along with participation from eminent faculty across India.
Dr. Anitha Kunnaiah emphasized, ‘GYN ROBOCON 2025 focused on innovation and precision not just tools, but outcomes that reduce patient suffering.’ Institutional support from Dr. G S Rao, Dr. Pavan Gorukanti, and Dr. Lingaiah reflected Yashoda Hospitals’ commitment to cutting-edge, patient-centered care.
