Yashoda Somajiguda enters Guinness Book for organizing awareness session

Yashoda Hospitals, Somajiguda has entered the Guinness World Records by organizing the largest Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) awareness session. A total of 578 participants, attending both in person and online simultaneously, took part in the awareness program, setting a new record. The initiative was organized with the objective of increasing public awareness about IBD, promoting early recognition of symptoms and encouraging timely medical consultation.

The record was officially verified by Rishi Nath, Official Adjudicator, Guinness World Records and was received by Dr. Kiran Peddi, Senior Gastroenterologist & Director, Center for IBD and Dr. S. Prashanth Reddy, Unit Head, Yashoda Hospitals, Somajiguda. Dr. Kiran Peddi mentioned that the IBD center’s mission is to provide world-class, patient-centric care to every victim of IBD.  

Dr. Pavan Gorukanti, Director, Yashoda Hospitals mentioned that the achievement reflects the collective efforts of doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, administrators, and every member of the Yashoda family and added that the hospital will continue to contribute to the advancement of healthcare in India. Congratulating the team, Rishi Nath, Official Adjudicator, Guinness World Records stated that the achievement goes beyond setting a world record—it has educated hundreds of people and created lasting awareness about Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
