Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services Limited, a leading fintech platform specializing in spend management and digital payments, has launched a innovative closed-loop CNG fleet card program in partnership with Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL) and Hyundai Motor India Limited. The initiative was highlighted during a recent interview with Avinash Godkhindi Managing Director and CEO of Zaggle, on a business news channel. The core of the tie-up is straightforward yet impactful: Customers purchasing a Hyundai vehicle—either a factory-fitted CNG model or one converted to run on compressed natural gas (CNG)—receive a specialized payment card loaded with funds.

This card, powered by Zaggle's technology, can be used exclusively at Adani Total Gas stations for CNG refueling. Buyers stand to gain refueling benefits of up to Rs 15,000 over a year, providing substantial cost savings and incentivizing the shift toward cleaner, more affordable fuel options. The program promotes sustainable mobility while addressing practical needs for individual car owners and commercial fleet operators alike. Godkhindi emphasized the collaborative spirit behind the partnership, describing Zaggle's role as more than a mere vendor.

Godkhindi noted that the program offers fleet owners better control and prevents leakage in fuel expenses through Zaggle's digital, closed-loop system. It creates a win-win scenario: Consumers and fleet operators save money, Adani Total Gas gains from increased volumes and loyalty, and manufacturers like Hyundai benefit from boosted CNG vehicle sales.Looking ahead, Godkhindi expressed optimism about Zaggle's growth in the CNG and fuel payments space. The company has secured contracts with various city gas distribution (CGD) players, including Think Gas, AG&P, Torrent, and Mega Gas, and is in discussions with oil marketing companies for large-scale partnerships via RFPs and innovative solutions.

Much of the code is now AI-assisted, enabling faster deployments and integrations. Importantly, with ~97% of revenue tied to transactions rather than SaaS contracts (which make up only about 2-2.5%), the company remains resilient to potential AI disruptions in software services and views AI as a major positive force. Godkhindi clarified that workforce optimization focuses on right-sizing and efficiency rather than arbitrary reductions. Zaggle is expanding internationally, including into the Middle East with a base in Abu Dhabi, leveraging existing talent and innovations.

Acquisitions have also contributed to overall headcount growth in certain areas. Overall, the Hyundai-ATGL partnership marks a key milestone for Zaggle in advancing eco-friendly fuel ecosystems through fintech innovation, aligning with India's push for cleaner mobility and positioning the company for continued strong growth.
