11 illegal water motors seized in Srinagar Colony

The vigilance wing of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board conducted a special drive against illegal water motors in Division-16, SR Nagar ward, Bapunagar area under Khairatabad zone on Thursday. The inspection was carried out in the early hours between 5:30 am and 7:00 am, during which officials detected and seized 11 illegal motors connected to household water taps.

Authorities said the unauthorized use of motors to draw drinking water is affecting equitable distribution and causing pressure issues in several localities. The board has been conducting continuous enforcement drives to curb such violations and ensure fair supply to all consumers.

Officials warned that strict action will be taken against offenders, including seizure of motors and a penalty of Rs 5,000 for repeated violations. Residents have been advised not to install motors on tap connections and to report low pressure or supply issues to nearby managers or contact the customer care number 155313 for timely redressal.
