Actor gets emotional while talking about Dhurandhar for the first time, recalls career challenges

Ranveer Singh made a rare appearance in a Reliance documentary, where he opened up about his blockbuster films Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge, as well as the challenges involved in bringing the ambitious project to the big screen.

The actor also expressed his gratitude to the Ambani family for backing the film and supporting him during a challenging phase of his career.

Speaking about the film, Ranveer said that Dhurandhar was far from easy to mount or execute. He recalled the challenges involved and the conviction required to take such a major creative risk. “Dhurandhar was not an easy film to mount, not an easy film to execute. There were several challenges,” Ranveer said.

He added that the team had to move forward with the belief that if the film worked, “we will be breaking new ground.”

The actor also got candid about his career and revealed how meaningful the support from the Ambani family was, particularly at a time when some of his films were not performing well. “I was given all the love, all the support and all the encouragement. Even at a time when my movies were not doing well,” Ranveer said, appearing emotional as he reflected on the ups and downs of his career and the unwavering support he received during a challenging phase.
