AIIMS providing advanced medical services, says MLA

Urban MLA Dhanpal Suryanarayana said that the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) established by the Central Government is providing advanced medical services comparable to those offered by private hospitals.

The MLA inspected AIIMS located at Bibinagar in Bhongir district on Tuesday. He said the institute was providing quality healthcare services on par with private hospitals. The AIIMS is being constructed with a total capacity of 750 beds, of which 260 beds are currently operational, he mentioned.

Highlighting the affordable healthcare available at AIIMS, Suryanarayana said patients can avail themselves of outpatient (OP) services for an entire year by paying a fee of just Rs 10. For in-patient admissions, the daily bed charge is only Rs 35, he added. The MLA advised people suffering from chronic illnesses or requiring emergency medical care to seek treatment at AIIMS. He also said that those in need of specialised treatment could approach him for referrals to the institute.
