Alleged killing of community dogs in Nizamabad, FIR filed

An FIR has been registered in Nizamabad following allegations of community dog killings in the Yellammagutta area. The complaint, reportedly linked to actions by Nizamabad Municipal Corporation officials, was lodged at the Fourth Town police station.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals India (PETA India), in a statement issued on Friday, said it received a complaint along with supporting evidence regarding the alleged incident. The organization then coordinated with Adulapuram Goutham of the Stray Animal Foundation of India (SAFI), who formally submitted the complaint. Based on this, police registered an FIR and booked unknown persons under relevant provisions. Investigation into the case is currently underway.
