Andhra Pradesh aims to boost adventure sports, seeks army collaboration

Andhra Pradesh is looking to promote adventure sports and establish a dedicated training center, according to AP Sports Authority (SAPS) Chairman Anemini Ravinayudu. During a visit to Delhi on Saturday, Ravinayudu met with Colonel PS Chauhan, Director of the Army Adventure Wing, and his team to discuss the initiative.

The meeting focused on exploring opportunities for adventure sports activities in Andhra Pradesh. Ravinayudu expressed the state government's commitment to providing the necessary infrastructure and support for establishing an adventure sports training center. Colonel Chauhan reportedly responded positively to the proposal.

In addition to his meeting with the Army Adventure Wing, Ravinayudu also participated in the All India Taekwondo Leaders Seminar, jointly organized by the Korean Cultural Center and India Taekwondo in Delhi on Saturday. At the invitation of the organizers, Ravinayudu addressed the seminar, outlining Andhra Pradesh's new sports policies. 

He emphasized the state's efforts to promote Taekwondo. Members of the Korean Cultural Center and India Taekwondo recognized Ravinayudu's contributions with a formal felicitation. Life Saving Sports Commission Chairman Pradeep Naidu and other dignitaries were also present at the seminar.
