The Andhra Pradesh government has intensified its focus on establishing a new railway line for Amaravati, a move that is expected to enhance connectivity and boost economic development in the region.
The government has issued a Gazette Notification for land acquisition required to construct the proposed railway line. The notification specifies that objections, if any, regarding the land acquisition must be submitted by January 16, 2024.
The project involves the construction of a new railway line stretching from Errupalem in Khammam district to Amaravati and extending up to Namburu. To facilitate this ambitious project, a total of 297 acres of land will be acquired across the designated route.
This new railway line is expected to serve as a vital link for Amaravati, connecting it to key regions and boosting its prospects as a strategic urban and administrative hub. The improved rail connectivity is anticipated to benefit residents, businesses, and industries while further integrating Amaravati into the state’s transportation network.
By prioritizing this project, the Andhra Pradesh government aims to address long-standing infrastructure needs, laying the groundwork for Amaravati’s future as a well-connected and thriving capital region.
