Chandrababu Naidu on Friday placed education and skill development at the core of Andhra Pradesh’s artificial intelligence strategy, overseeing the signing of seven key MoUs and Letters of Intent at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

The agreements with national and global technology institutions aim to develop Amaravati as a Quantum Valley and position the State as a hub for AI and quantum technologies. The focus areas include higher education, advanced skilling, school transformation and AI-driven governance.

A Letter of Intent with IBM India Private Limited seeks to train one lakh learners in AI, cybersecurity and quantum computing over three to five years using industry-aligned digital platforms. Another agreement with United Nations International Computing Centre will establish a Centre of Excellence for AI and Quantum technologies in Amaravati.

The State also signed an MoU with National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology to set up a deemed-to-be university focused on AI and Quantum education. Partnerships with Calibo AI and the Real Time Governance Society will promote AI academies and a State-level AI Sandbox for governance applications.

An MoU with Washington Institute for STEM, Entrepreneurship and Research aims to train lakhs of students, while a joint initiative with BharatGen, NexGen and IBM will create a statewide AI Tech Hub. Additionally, IIT Madras, with Bodhan AI, will introduce an AI Tutor in schools.

Officials said the initiatives will boost employability, attract investments and strengthen Amaravati’s AI-Quantum ecosystem.
