AP government to appoint brand ambassadors for Amaravati

The state government has decided to appoint brand ambassadors for the new capital Amaravati. It is also working on an action plan to hire brand ambassadors for the city at various levels. The government has decided to select brand ambassadors on the basis of sustainability, development, innovation and social status. The Municipal Administration and Urban Development department has issued GO number 107 on Friday informing about engaging brand ambassadors.

The Capital Region Development Authority(CRDA) has decided to select experts in various fields and people who are involved in the people in the capital region. The government intends to hire brand ambassadors on nomination basis. Any nomination for Brand Ambassador for Amaravati shall be received from the Chief Minister and/or from the office of the  Chief Minister .

The Qualifying criteria for consideration as the Ambassador shall satisfy at least one of these three criteria-exceptionally high visibility  across the world on any relevant theme, professional with exceptional domain credentials; extra ordinary commitment and participation with local communities.

The brand ambassadors will be appointed based on their skill, qualification and levels from the nominations received after taking the government's approval. They will be hired for a period of one year. The government said that the brand ambassadors should take action to promote Amaravati as a global city. Further, the brand ambassadors should strive for attracting domestic and foreign investments as part of  Amaravati project in AP's economic growth.

Their roles include participating in conferences, seminars, and workshops related to the development of Amaravati  by  engaging stakeholders like investors; collaborating with educational institutions, cultural organisations, and local leaders to foster community pride and to facilitate open dialogues between the government and the public to address concerns and build trust.
