AP minister launches health camp

A free mega medical camp organized by Vijayawada Manipal Hospital and GVR Trust in Chinnampet village of Chatrai mandal of Nuziveedu constituency

Andhra Pradesh Housing and Information and Public Relations Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy said that organizing free medical camps for rural people is commendable.

He inaugurated a free mega medical camp organized by Vijayawada Manipal Hospital and GVR Trust in Chinnampet village of Chatrai mandal of Nuziveedu constituency. On the occasion, he inspected the general medical examinations, cancer examinations, eye examinations, heart examinations, lung examinations, and testing centers set up in the medical camp.

He asked them about the medical examinations conducted by the doctors. He greeted the patients who came to the medical camp by name and inquired about their health conditions. Speaking at the meeting held later, State Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy said that the aim of his government is that no poor person, regardless of their wealth, should be deprived of better medical care.

He said that the government's aim is to provide health security to the poor people. He said that financial assistance will be provided from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund and they will be supported in every way. He urged everyone to take advantage of this mega medical camp provided by private institutions and voluntary organizations.

The Minister expressed special gratitude to Manipal Hospital and GVR Trust for organizing this medical camp. He urged more voluntary organizations to come forward to organize such free medical camps. He said that in the current civilized society, people are suffering from many diseases due to changes in the lifestyle and eating habits and that even a small ailment is not treated carelessly. 

He said that the government will conduct a door-to-door survey for the health of the people and take preventive measures to diagnose diseases. He said that everyone who underwent treatment in a private hospital in the last 4 months can get financial assistance from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

He said that the government is fulfilling all the promises made to the poor people one by one. Representatives of Manipal Hospital, GVR Trust, doctors, Telugu Desam Party, Jana Sena, BJP, leaders, activists, village elders and public representatives participated in the program.
