The State Government has entered into a strategic partnership with the World Economic Forum (WEF) to establish the WEF–Andhra Pradesh Centre for Energy and Cyber Resilience in Amaravati. The goal is to position Amaravati as a premier global hub for green innovation, AI integration, and cyber resilience.
“This is not just about launching a Centre; it’s about putting Andhra Pradesh on the global map for next-generation technology and sustainability,” said Minister Nara Lokesh. “The Centre will drive international collaboration, bring in investments, and build talent in frontier areas like clean energy and digital security,” he added.
Among the Centre’s core objectives are building global partnerships and showcasing Andhra Pradesh’s leadership on international platforms like Davos. Supporting the growth of green industries and enhancing cyber security. Piloting innovative projects in smart grids, clean energy, and AI for agriculture and governance. Creating a talent pipeline through upskilling in cybersecurity and emerging tech sectors.
The state government has sanctioned Rs.36 crore over a three-year period for the Centre’s operations, which will be based initially in Vijayawada or Amaravati.
