Apollo Hospitals opens ‘Sports Injuries Centre’

Apollo Hospitals has launched a Centre of Excellence for Sports Injuries & Orthopaedics at its Financial District facility in Hyderabad which offers comprehensive care for sports-related injuries with advanced diagnostic, surgical and rehabilitation facilities under one roof. The launch event was attended by KEI Group founder Anil Kamineni and Telangana Special Chief Secretary (Sports) Jayesh Ranjan. 

Members of IPL franchise, including Australian captain Pat Cummins, Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain visited the facility and reviewed its treatment infrastructure and recovery programs. Dr Deepthi Nandan Reddy, Head of Orthopedics at Apollo Hospitals Financial District said that the center is equipped to handle ligament injuries and complex joint conditions using advanced surgical procedures and evidence-based rehabilitation methods. 

Apollo Hospitals Telugu States CEO Tejesvi Rao Veerepalli said the center was launched in response to the growing demand for specialized sports injury treatment amid increasing participation in sports and fitness activities. The medical team at the center includes senior consultant orthopedic surgeon Dr Raviteja Rudraraju and senior consultant physiotherapist Dr Raminder Kaur.
