Apollo Medical College holds graduation ceremony for UG & PG students

A total of 134 students of Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (AIMSR), Hyderabad, received their degrees at a grand graduation ceremony held for the Undergraduate Batch 2019 and Postgraduate Batch 2021 at Bhavanam Venkatram Auditorium, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University in Hyderabad on Saturday.

Chief Guest Dr. B.S. Murty, Director, IIT Hyderabad, and Guest of Honour Dr. P.V. Nanda Kumar Reddy, Vice Chancellor, KNRUHS, conferred MBBS and MD/MS degrees to the students. Dr. Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Group, attended the ceremony. Dean K. Manohar addressed the gathering, while Aparna Reddy, COO, AIMSR, welcomed the audience.

Out of the graduates, 100 undergraduate students received MBBS degrees and 34 postgraduates were awarded MD/MS degrees. Afreen Begum of the UG batch received the Dr. Pratap C. Reddy Gold Medal and K.V.R. Prasad Memorial Gold Medal for the best outgoing undergraduate. Anudeep Subba Rao from the Department of Psychiatry was awarded the Dr. Pratap C. Reddy Gold Medal for the best outgoing postgraduate. Both Anudeep Subba Rao and 

G. Navya Reddy from Psychiatry secured 3rd and 5th ranks at the university level. Several postgraduates also secured seats in DM/DNB/MCh programs.

Since its inception in 2012, over 700 students have graduated from Apollo Medical College, Hyderabad, with more than 90% pursuing postgraduate studies or residency programs in India and abroad. The college is expanding postgraduate courses across 18 disciplines and plans to develop a Knowledge Hub in Chittoor.
