Hyderabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar emphasized the vital role of the Armed Reserve (AR) personnel in maintaining peace, order, and public safety across the city.
Speaking at the Ceremonial Parade held at the City Armed Reserve (CAR) headquarters in Petlaburj on Saturday, Sajjanar highlighted that discipline, dedication, and professionalism are the cornerstones of effective policing. He received the guard of honour and praised the long-standing reputation of the City Armed Reserve for its service and commitment.
Addressing the personnel, the Commissioner underscored that policing is a demanding profession that requires integrity, fitness, and emotional strength. He urged officers to maintain discipline, uphold ethical standards, and perform their duties with a sense of responsibility. Sajjanar advised the staff to prioritize their families, safeguard their health, and avoid bad habits, while making daily exercise a routine practice.
Encouraging continuous learning, he stressed the need for police personnel to acquire new skills and adapt to emerging technologies and professional trends within the department.
A total of 1,044 CAR personnel participated in the parade, representing units such as the City Security Guard, Swift Women Action Team, Quick Reaction Team, and City Rapid Action Force. After the parade, Sajjanar interacted directly with the staff, listening to their concerns and assuring them of swift redressal.
Later, he inspected various facilities including the crèche, Arms and Ammunition Store Room, Workshop, and Barracks, before conducting a review meeting to discuss strategies for more efficient and community-focused policing.
