Awareness seminar on new laws held at KIMS Law College

Hyderabad: An awareness seminar on newly implemented laws was conducted at KIMS Law College in Vedira village near Karimnagar. Senior advocates attended the event as Chief Guests and guided students on the evolving legal system. Speaking on the occasion, senior advocate Madhusudan Rao stated that the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been replaced by the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023. Similarly, the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) has been replaced by Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).

Another speaker, K. Srinivas, highlighted that the Indian Evidence Act has been replaced by the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA) 2023. He explained the changes in evidence collection and examination under the new system. On this occasion, KIMS Educational Institutions Vice Chairman Saketh Rama Rao felicitated the guest speakers with shawls and emphasized that law students must stay updated with evolving legal frameworks.
