Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu concluded his six-day district tour on Sunday after covering Nellore, Tirupati, Kadapa and Chittoor districts, combining welfare programmes, industrial development, agriculture, governance and party outreach.
The tour began on July 1 in Gudur, Nellore district, with the distribution of social security pensions under the Pedala Sevalo programme. It later moved through Tirupati, Kadapa and Kuppam, where the Chief Minister launched several flagship development initiatives.
During his three-day visit to Kuppam, Naidu participated in a series of programmes involving farmers, beneficiaries of welfare schemes, industrialists, officials, employees and party leaders. A major highlight was the signing of MoUs, inauguration and foundation-laying ceremonies for 30 industrial projects worth Rs 9,322 crore, expected to generate 39,535 direct and 47,539 indirect jobs.
Among the key announcements were investments in footwear, food processing, poultry, renewable energy and aerospace manufacturing. The Chief Minister also inaugurated the ABIS Proteins chicken processing unit, the MSME Park, CT Scan and dialysis centres at the Kuppam Area Hospital, rooftop solar projects, and laid the foundation stone for Rs 118-crore model bus station and depot.
Naidu also resolved the 61-year-old Kangundi land issue, distributing DKT pattas covering 460.19 acres to 322 beneficiary families, bringing long-awaited relief to local farmers.
The Chief Minister held interactions with farmers and promoted modern agriculture, horticulture, cluster-based farming and food processing. Agreements were signed with ITC and other companies to strengthen horticulture marketing and improve farm incomes. He also reviewed the progress of the P4 (Public-Private-People Partnership) initiative aimed at poverty eradication and economic empowerment.
