Toxic event hit by mishap
The pre-release event of Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups was disrupted after a speaker stand collapsed at the venue in Hyderabad on Saturday, leaving some fans injured, Cyberabad Police said. The incident took place at Malla Reddy Group of Institutions in Medchal-Malkajgiri district, where a large number of fans had gathered to see Yash and other members of the film’s team.

Monster, that’s the title finally chosen for Salman Khan and Nayanthara’s film. After the announcement, it piqued interest among fans. But did you know that the M word has a connection to several superstars’ projects? From the Indian film industry to Hollywood, many A-listers have been associated with it. While some have delivered box-office bangers, others have used it to rake in the moolah. It has always proved lucky for the stars.
Interestingly, ‘Rocking Star’ Yash’s production house is named Monster Mind Creations. It is co-producing his upcoming films Toxic as well as Ramayana. Not just that, in his blockbuster KGF, there was a song called The Monster Anthem. Malayalam movie superstar Mohanlal starred in a thriller titled Monster (2022).
When Hollywood siren Charlize Theron underwent a complete makeover to play America’s first woman serial killer Aileen Wuornos, her film was also titled Monster (2003). She even won her very first Oscar for Best Actress for this biopic. Two years prior to that, Hollywood churned out an animated film called Monsters, Inc. (2001). In the same year, Halle Berry and Billy Bob Thornton set the silver screens ablaze with their scorching chemistry in Monster’s Ball.
Lastly, Jennifer Lopez and Jane Fonda locked horns on screen for the rom-com Monster-in-Law (2005). Well, it looks like lady luck might shine upon Salman as well. While it is too early to predict anything, The Monster just might end up becoming a monstrous success.
