Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to empowering the youth of Andhra Pradesh through a robust system of skill training and higher education support. Chairing a high-level review meeting on Thursday at the Secretariat, he directed officials to make the soon-to-be-launched ‘Naipunyam’ portal a gateway for employment and livelihood opportunities in the state.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the government aims to create 20 lakh jobs by 2029, urging officials to work relentlessly toward this goal. He instructed that job fairs be held every month in every constituency, ensuring continuous engagement between employers and job seekers. The Naipunyam portal, which will be launched ahead of the upcoming Partnership Summit in November, will serve as a comprehensive digital platform for youth to access skill development courses, certification programs, and job listings.
Accompanied by Minister for Human Resource Development Nara Lokesh, Naidu reviewed various components of the initiative including the job dashboard, AI-assisted resume creation, and integration of employment databases across departments.
Minister Lokesh explained that a cluster-based approach is being adopted to provide targeted training in emerging sectors such as space technology, aquaculture, and quantum computing. He said the state is developing 15 industrial clusters to match skilled manpower with sectoral demands, drawing lessons from successful global models like Australia.
Naidu instructed officials to integrate the portal with universities and global educational institutions to enhance learning outcomes. He said partnerships with international organizations would help youth access overseas job markets and skill certifications.
The Chief Minister also directed that AI-driven simulators be included to help candidates prepare for interviews, and that training in foreign languages be offered to improve employability abroad. The portal will connect ITIs, polytechnics, engineering colleges, and universities with industries, allowing real-time tracking of placements and training trends.
Officials informed the Chief Minister that 1.44 lakh people have already secured jobs through state-led job fairs. They added that the portal will provide updates on upcoming job fairs, available vacancies, and ongoing training programs across districts.
Chandrababu Naidu stressed that the Naipunyam portal must benefit genuine unemployed youth, even those who have not availed of any government schemes, ensuring that every young person in Andhra Pradesh is equipped with the skills, re-skilling, and upskilling needed for the evolving global job market.
