Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Monday called upon Ministers, legislators and senior officials to outperform the achievements of 2025 and deliver even stronger results in 2026, asserting that Andhra Pradesh has decisively moved from administrative breakdown to a phase of speed-driven, results-oriented governance.

Chairing a high-level review meeting with Ministers and Secretaries at the State Secretariat, with District Collectors joining virtually, the Chief Minister said the government had restored public confidence by repairing damaged systems and delivering tangible welfare and development outcomes. He urged the administration to now work towards a 16 percent growth rate, positioning Andhra Pradesh as India’s most competitive State.

Chandrababu Naidu said the State, which once struggled even to raise fresh borrowings due to fiscal stress, has achieved a new milestone in welfare delivery through the ‘Super Six’ framework. “Through Talliki Vandanam, Rs 10,090 crore has been directly credited to the accounts of mothers of 67 lakh students. Under Stree Shakti, women have undertaken 3.5 crore free journeys at a cost of Rs 1,114 crore. Through Annadata Sukhibhava, Rs 6,310 crore has been transferred to 46 lakh farmers, while Deepam 2.0 enabled the distribution of two crore LPG cylinders at a cost of Rs 2,684 crore,” the Chief Minister said.

He added that in just 18 months, the government disbursed nearly Rs 50,000 crore in social pensions, calling it a historic milestone in welfare governance. “We have implemented nearly 70 major schemes and programmes. This is not routine governance, this is transformative governance,” he said.

Chandrababu Naidu said Andhra Pradesh has emerged as a prime investment destination, attracting nearly 25 per cent of India’s total foreign direct investment inflows. “If all CII-linked MoUs materialise, 16 lakh jobs will be created. Through SIPB alone, we have approved investments worth Rs 8.74 lakh crore,” he said.

Highlighting marquee investments, the Chief Minister announced that Google is setting up a $15-billion AI data centre in Visakhapatnam. He added that the Vizag Steel Plant was revived with Rs 12,000 crore support from the Centre. He also confirmed that the Bhogapuram International Airport in Vizianagaram district will be inaugurated soon, further strengthening global connectivity.
